Abstract

The emerging economies of all Post-Socialist countries continue to express the need for greater interaction with their more developed neighbours. Such relationships are considered crucial for economic survival initially and long-tern development as well. On the other hand the developing countries have provided, and still provide, huge amounts of support in different forms to the post-socialist countries. However, casual review and deeper analysis reveal that a significant proportion of these resources do not always deliver on their initial promise for a variety of reasons. This paper endeavours to identify the "missing links" and suggest possible solutions that will go some way to alleviate the concerns identified.
